Week 38 - Raqchi

Hey everyone.  Yet another week has passed and time is still passing.  Again not a whole lot happened this week but it was pretty good.  We were mainly just looking for new people to teach.

So last week for P-Day we went to Raqchi which was an old Incan city.  There was a bunch of old houses and temples and things made out of adobe and stone.  Very little from wood (interesting..).  But it was cool to see all this old stuff that some people had built only to be destroyed.  We also hiked up a mountain called Mirador which just means looker, and it was a really short hike but it killed me.  It was probably the worst thing I have done.  They said it was a 30 minute walk but we did it in about 4 minutes.

Tuesday I went to the doctor to get an ingrown toenail taken out.  Fun!  He also figured out that there is a fungus so everytime I take it out, it will just grow back over and over unless we get rid of the fungus.  So now I am on pills for 3 months.  I was also talking to him about when I first got here and the incident I had.  He told me the doctors were about to send me to Lima to never come back to Cusco.  I was about to have a different misison!  But luckily my president told them not to do anything until Dr. Carrasco (mission doctor) got back from Argetntina.

Yesterday we had a family night with a less active family.  We had quite a bit of members there which was pretty cool.  We also watched a video called ´´Rescued by Christ´´.  It was pretty good and we definitely felt the spirit.

That was about it this week other than looking like crazy for people to teach.  Hope you all have a great week in the nice hot weather of the states right now.  Have fun, be smart.  Love you all.
