Week 43 - Come To Church!

Hey everyone!  Thanks for all the emails.  I always love to read them.  Hope you all had a good week.  As it´s starting to cool down in the north, the rain is heading my way.  And at about 12,000 ft. it´s not too fun.  Or warm.  Good thing I have a big coat.

So this past week wasn´t so great in teaching terms.  We only had one lesson with a less active.  It seems that nobody wants to listen or they just find excuses to not listen.  It also doesn´t help that the members aren´t too excited about the work.  They don´t want to set apart time to come with us to lessons or present us people that we can teach.  So that makes it a little bit harder for us.

Despite the lack of help from the members, the Hermanas in our district and our ward had a baptism!  Pretty cool.  The only thing that wasn´t so cool is that the members told her that nobody was going to go to the baptism on Saturday..  So she wanted to move it to Sunday which isn´t so good because now she will have a week inbetween her baptism and confirmation.  And who knows what kinds of things she can pass through in this week.  The enemy will probably be working really hard on her this week.  Hopefully she can withstand it.

So there is a radio station here in Sicuani that a member owns and one of the guys that talks is a less active member but he always eats at the restaurant so we always talk to him.  So one day he came in and I told him to say my name over the radio or give me a shout out.  So he went back to the studio and he said my name about a thousand times saying that I was listening to the radio all the way from Utah through internet.  He is a funny guy but it was pretty cool.

This week we also invited a whole ton of people to church and it was so cool because there were a lot of people that said they were going to come, but then came Sunday.  And how many people came to church?  One investigator and one less active.  More than usual but a little bit less than I was expecting.

Also in church they changed a few people and the callings.  The bishop was finally released after almost 10 years as bishop and we now live with the new bishop.  The good thing is that when we need the key to the chapel, it´s not too far now.

Well that´s about it for this week.  Hope you all have another awesome week.  Have fun for those of you who will start school.  Keep working those who are working.  Keep enjoying life those who aren´t working or don´t have school.  Love you all!
