Week 34 - Mananki Manan Mananki

Hey everyone.  Hope you all had a good week.  This week was a lot better for us.   We have been finding a lot more people to teach which is awesome.  The hard part is getting them to church.

This last week we had one investigator in church which  was kind of sad but it´s cool that he attended.  His name is Luis Apaza.  He is 14 and he has come to church 4 times all 3 hours.  He is probably our best investigator.  He now has a baptismal date for the 18th of July.

We also have another investigator with a date.  His name is Fredy and he has a date for the 27th of June.  We don´t know if it´s going to happen because he didn´t come to church yesterday because he had homework.  It was sad but life goes on.

Next Sunday Pres. Uchtdorf is coming to Trujillo to dedicate the new temple in Trujillo.  We are pretty excited to see the dedication.  This will be the second temple in Peru.  They have announced another in Arequipa but they just need to build that one.  People are saying another 3 -5 years they will dedicate that one.  So that will be 3 temples in all of Peru!  It´s crazy how blessed we are in Utah.  I can see 3 temples from the roof of my house!

Also this past week I have been learning more Quechua.  This Mananki Manan Mananki guarma mi kanki  (I don´t know how to spell it)  is a popular frase that all the missionaries like to learn.  I don´t know why... But my goal by the time I finish is to give my testimony in Quechua.  That would be pretty cool.

That´s about everything exciting that happened this week.  Hopefully we can get a baptism soon to excite the members.  Love you all.  Have a good week.
