Week 44 - Gifts From God

Hey everyone!  Hope you all had a good week!  This one was better for us.  We were able to actually teach some people which was good.  And we have a pretty good new investigator that came out of nowhere.  It seems like all of the good investigators are like that.  Gifts from God.

So this week we were able to teach some old investigators that didn´t progress very well before.  Their names are Sara and Joel.  I feel like we are gaining more confidence from them now that Joel comes to play soccer with us every Monday.  I don´t know what we did wrong before, but it seems like they will be able to progress pretty good now.

Also this week there were a few missionaries that went to Cusco to do some papers so one of the missionaries stayed with us.  While we were with him we went to his mission coordination.  They had it with the guy that is in charge of the mission work for the whole stake.  He is a really smart guy.  He is a return missionary and now he is one of the best lawyers if not the best in Sicuani.  But he said something that I though was pretty cool.  He told us that when he was on his mission, a general authority came and said, ´´You have 2 years to serve your mission, and you have the rest of your life to remember how you served.´´  Pretty cool, pretty impactful.

So we have been doing some service this week which is always good.  I would much rather teach by doing service to show the people that we are here to help them rather then sit down and talk with them.  But we did service for some less actives and at the end she wanted to pay us.  We told here that we wouldn´t take her money because it was a service, so she invited us to eat lunch today.  They are a pretty cool family.

The day that we were doing service, when we went to eat lunch, some guy just started talking to us and asking us when our meetings are.  We started talking to him and his son and the son said he would come to church with us the next day which was really weird but cool.  So we went by his house to pick him up on Sunday and he came to church with us!  Pretty cool.  He seems like he could progress pretty well.  We just have to help him get to baptism.

So this week was pretty good.  Hopefully this coming week will be even better.  Hope you all have a great week.  Thanks for all the support and love.  Love you all!
