Week 45 - Health Problems

Hey everyone!  It´s good to finally talk to you guys after a full day.  The reason for writing later is that we had to go to Cusco this morning to take out an ingrown toenail of mine.  The third in the mission...  But we went and it ended up that not only he took out the ingrown part, but the whole toenail.  So as of today I don´t have a toenail.  I am super greatfull for the numbing.  After the taking out of my toenail, we came back to Sicuani and played a little bit of soccer at a park with the usual group.  Pretty fun.  I only played with one shoe because I can´t put on my other one with my toe.

So the first 2 days of this week my companion was pretty sick so we were in the room for 2 days.  I got really bored, I didn´t know what to do.  I thought he was being a baby until he was in the bathroom throwing up.  It was a little hard to be in the room for just those 2 days, so it makes me feel bad for those missionaries with companions that are sick for weeks.

After those 2 days we started to visit our investigators.  We were able to visit with Olga for the first time in a couple of weeks and it was really cool (despite the fact that we are teaching in a store and people come in and out every moment)!  She was a little scared of reading the Book of Mormon because she is Catholic (surprise) and she doesn´t know if she should.  So we invited her to pray in that moment, and it was the first time that I heard her pray from her heart and not just saying words.  It was really cool.  After, I asked her how she felt and she told us that she felt like there was a weight lifted off of her.  We explained to her that this was the Spirit and the purpose of the spirit (testify of truth) and she said that she would read the Book of Mormon with us the next visit.  Pretty cool.

We were also able to visit a lot more people and it was pretty cool.  We also rescued a less active this week.  Now we just need to keep visiting her and helping her.

This Sunday was awesome.  At least with people coming to church..  We had 2 investigators and 4 less actives at church this week and that´s pretty awesome.  And 2 of the less actives that came came for the first time in years.  It was super cool.  Hopefully they can keep coming!  We will be here to help!

That´s about it for this week.  It was pretty good and I hope it just keeps getting better.  Hope you are all doing well at home.  Thanks for everything as always and love you all!  Until next week.
