Hallo alles!

I hope everyone is going well! I definitely am! It is crazy to think how fast time is going by. I have already been out almost two and a half months, including the MTC! Crazy. This last week was very good.

Germany keeps winning so that is very good. We can tell when Germany wins because everyone is honking their horns around the city and blowing into their vuvuzelas in the streets. It is so awesome. Next to the gospel of Jesus Christ, I firmly believe that Fußball (soccer) is the next best thing that can help us grow closer to one another, and next to the family, can make us happier than anything else.

We are starting to teach a lot of people now. The first week was a lot of finding, but the hard work is starting to pay off. The Lord is definitely preparing people to hear His word. It´s cool to see the process it takes to find, teach and then baptize someone.

We had a baptism yesterday. His name is Dennis. He is only 9 years old, and his mom is a recent convert. She wantes us to teach him all of the doctrines so that he could gain a testimony and know why he was getting baptized. This family comes from Africa, and it was so cool to see how happy they were at this baptism. It is only a ´vorbild´ of what will come to pass with this family in the temple.

I had the opportunity to read a lot in the Book of Mormon this week. Elder Bednar gave a talk in the MTC, and he invited us to read the Book of Mormon a certain way:

     1. Get a blue, paperback copy of the Book of Mormon
     2. Come up with a question, and write it in the front of the book
     3. Read, study, mark scriptures, and take notes as you try to find answers to your question
     4. When you are finished, write a short paragragh about what you have learned concerning your question.

I have started doing that, and it is awesome. It works. You really do find answers, and I am only still in 1 Nephi. John Bytheway said that ´if you want to talk to God, pray. If you want God to talk to you, read the scriptures.´ I would invite everyone to take Elder Bednar´s challenge. You will learn so much, and scriptures will stick out to you that you have never noticed before. The Book of Mormon really is the word of God.

Vielen Dank für Alles! Ich danke euch für eure Stütze! Alles gut! Tchüss!
